Nidderdale is home to some of the most splendid attractions, including Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey,Stump Cross Caverns and How Stean Gorge.
Whilst these are truly awe-inspiring, they are by no means the only reason to visit. The Eastern Dales hold host to some of the most beautiful Stately Homes, (Newby Hall, Harwood House and Fountain Hall), breathtaking walks and spectacular scenery. Including:
 Fountains Abbey
In 1132, 13 monks came here to start a simpler life. Over 400 years later, when Henry VIII demanded the closure of the Abbey, the monks left behind what is now the most complete Cistercian abbey remains in Britain.
Today the romantic ruins provide a dramatic focal point for the landscape garden.
With the help of a free guided tour it is not difficult to imagine the fascinating lives of the monks all those years ago.
Nidderdale Festival
Held each year during the last week of June, first week in July, and embracing a wide variety of events celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Dales.
 Brimham Rocks
A Prominent feature of the dale, Brimham Rocks are spectacular 'stacks' of millstone grit carved out over many thousands of years by the changing of the seasons.
Of course it would be impossible to capture the whole of Nidderdale within one website, it's just something you have to experience yourself, first hand.
